I am writing to share that PARWCC has terminated all professional ties with Mark Misiano, the former Director of Membership Strategy. While Mr. Misano left the PARWCC team in April to pursue other opportunities, he was continuing to volunteer as Thrive Chair.
We were recently made aware of serious allegations involving Mr. Misano and we have taken these measures consistent with our policies. The alleged actions stand in complete contradiction to PARWCC’s core values, the integrity of our profession, and the ethical standards we expect from our team. As an organization dedicated to career service professionals, our mission is helping build safe, dignified and fulfilling futures. Allegations of this nature violate the foundational trust, safety, and human dignity that underpin everything we teach and practice.
In light of these events, PARWCC is conducting an immediate reevaluation of all hiring practices. We are committed to ensuring our operational standards reflect the highest level of protection and accountability for our membership and internal team.
We know that this news can bring up many complex, heavy emotions. Please know that you do not have to carry these feelings alone. We are a community of 3,000 members strong, built on mutual support, uncompromising principles, and care for our peers and that does not change today.
